He served in World War I. He is my 2nd Great Uncle on my Dad's side. He is the brother of my Great Grandmother Mable Douglas. On Mar 1949 he shot and killed my Great Grandmother second husband, James Payton Thompson. He also shot and wounded my Great Grandmother and my Great Uncle Frank H. Walls. Then he committed suicide. Since he was buried at the family cemetery, my Great grandmother would not bury her husband there or be buried there herself.
